Welcome to Eaglehawk Neck

– a great place to live and visit – so much to see and do!

Welcome to the coastal village of Eaglehawk Neck, Gateway to the Tasman Peninsula in Tasmania’s south-east, a little over an hour’s drive from Hobart.

One of Tasmania’s best kept secrets, Eaglehawk Neck is a surprising destination for visitors – with so many awesome natural attractions, an amazing history, dozens of things to do and to see, a laid-back life-style and a pleasant year-round climate. Stay a short time and you will want to live here.

Port Arthur may be the main attraction but the entire Tasman Peninsula is a visitor’s paradise of beautiful seascapes, dramatic sea cliffs, historic convict-built houses, mines and railways, ancient forests, rolling rural countryside, secluded bays and sandy beaches. You will never see it all in a day. Eaglehawk Neck is the gateway to it all and a great destination in its own right.

Here is the (short) award-winning film by the very talented David Pyefinch and Melinda Maddock, who have land at Eaglehawk Neck and have loved the place for years. The film features excellent footage of the EHN region and is very funny and clever.
